The battle over the best fried chicken sandwich might have started in 2019, but our longtime client, Lee’s Famous Recipe® Chicken was ready to reignite the flames with its limited-time-offer chicken sandwich.

The sandwich included an all-white-meat chicken breast in Famous Recipe or Spicy, topped with chipotle ranch and pickles and served on a brioche bun.

Using in-store, point-of-purchase kits, paid social and Spotify radio advertisement, organic social media content, website assets including a homepage countdown clock and location indicators for participating stores we were able to snag the attention of chicken sandwich lovers.

Even amid a national shut down, when the coronavirus flattened businesses, the Lee’s chicken sandwich more than doubled originally projected sales results and is the most successful new product rollout the brand has seen in more than 15 years. By establishing the proper messaging and creating assets to keep the sandwich momentum going, Lee’s saw a 25 percent increase in sales while the limited-time-offer chicken sandwich was available.
