How We Helped the Tipton & Hurst Brand Continue to Stand the Test of Time
Since 1886, Tipton & Hurst has provided Central Arkansas with exquisite florals, houseplants, home decor, gifts, event styling and more. A company steeped in a rich tradition of excellence, Tipton & Hurst wanted to elevate their brand while still honoring their strong legacy. Through a new brand identity, Tipton and Hurst took another step toward the ultimate goal of becoming the premier destination for flowers and gifts in the South.
The brand identity process began with an intensive brand workshop to deepen our understanding of the company and its key audiences. In collaboration with Tipton & Hurst, we identified a mission, vision and values that would resonate with audiences and serve as our north star in creating the brand identity.
Based on the insights from our research and the brand workshop, a new brand style guide was created. This included the new mission, vision and values, as well as guidelines for brand voice, logo usage, color palette, imagery style, print, social media, packaging and more. Imagery recommendations for each silo of the Tipton & Hurst business were also provided.
The new guidelines leaned on pieces of the brand with strong equity, like the Tipton & Hurst signature green and their well-known logo, while adding eye-catching updates like new fonts and an expanded color palette. Each element worked together to create a refreshed, more luxurious brand that audiences would still immediately recognize as Tipton & Hurst.
