PR News annually designates its “Top Places to Work” based on employee growth opportunities, best communication practices, benefits packages, salaries, office perks and a collaborative workplace design.

Among several cultural aspects that contributed toward Stone Ward receiving this recognition for the second year in row, the agency enjoys these employee perks:

Building Good: Agency team members not only help build successful clients, but are also passionate about donating time to support several local and national nonprofits that build strong communities.

Client Sport Clips Haircuts appears for a coveted brand spot on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.”

Collaborative Office Space: The Stone Ward offices each feature collaborative work models that include open workspaces and breakout areas for brainstorming and client meetings. Creative workspace perks also include soccer balls (we are inevitable fans with U.S. Soccer as a client!), RAZR scooters, NERF basketball goals (P-I-G tournament game almost every day at 3 p.m.!) and a mini ping pong table.

Brain Food: We keep a free, fully-stocked kitchen and pantry. This goes past Cup Noodles and granola bars (though we have those too!), and includes everything from fresh fruit and sandwich fixin’s to microwave pizzas and hamburgers.

Work Hard, Play Hard: We host several internal events at the agency to inspire teamwork and creativity. Examples just in the last year include a Tacky Christmas Sweater Day and accompanying Secret Santa exchange, group outings to a local theme park and a local horse racing track (chartered bus rides each time), a Christmas bash for employees and spouses and more.

You’ll frequently find some of these furry friends roaming the halls of Stone Ward.

Family Friendly: We pride ourselves on being a pet and child-friendly office. Several team members bring their furry friends daily, and it’s not uncommon to see children make occasional appearances in the office. They help lessen stress and jog our creative minds!

Done Goods: Team members can be awarded a “Done Good” for a job well done, to be redeemed for a $10 Amazon gift card.

Senior public relations account manager, Dana Dussing Berry, and associate director of broadcast, Katy Bartlett, each receive their 10-year anniversary travel stipends.

Generous Time Off: In addition to accrued vacation time, we close the office between Christmas and New Year’s and several other holidays (paid time), and offer “Fourth Fridays,” in which the office closes at 2 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month. After 10 years with the agency, team members get one extra week of paid vacation and a $2,500 check to use toward visiting their choice destination.

We are thankful and blessed to work with such a collaborative team that helps make us a “Top Place to Work!”
