Senior Brand Manager and Senior Public Relations Account Manager Heide Harrell, MA, APR, was recently elected to serve as the 2017 chair for the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Southwest District. The district represents 14 chapters in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico and Texas. The District serves as a link between local PRSA chapters and national leadership.
As chair, Heide’s role will be to facilitate information between chapters, such as sharing best practices for chapter leadership, fiscal management, programming opportunities and more. She will also serve as the liaison to chapter presidents on national items including information on upcoming conferences, webinars and special promotions. Heide will represent the Southwest District at the 2017 National PRSA Leadership Assembly in Boston as a delegate.
Previously, Heide has served many roles in the Arkansas Chapter including past president and co-chair of Prisms, an annual awards program recognizing the best public relations work in Arkansas. She is also a graduate of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Greater Little Rock program (Class XXIX) and serves as a board member for ARVets and Special Olympics Arkansas.
