Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield Goes Retail
As the state’s health insurance leader, it only made sense for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield to open the state’s first insurance store. For Stone Ward, the new store, ArkansasBlue, provided a great chance to use our retail marketing experience to help our client be successful in this groundbreaking venture.
For consumers ArkansasBlue helps Arkansans tackle the sometimes intimidating process of buying health insurance by providing a store where individuals can meet face-to-face with representatives to shop for and purchase insurance, as well as provide a place Arkansas Blue Cross customers can come to get answers to questions about their current coverage.
Stone Ward partnered with Arkansas Blue Cross and Cromwell Architects to collaboratively create the store design, exterior and interior signage, in-store merchandising including interactive kiosks, digital displays, and sales collateral. The result is a contemporary retail store designed and staffed to provide the best customer experience possible.
The successful grand opening plan for the store was also a partnership effort between Arkansas Blue Cross and Stone Ward. The integrated plan provided a combination of paid media, guerrilla media, in-store promotion and event marketing that garnered results that have exceeded client expectations. In its first few weeks the store has experience steady traffic from both prospects and customers—successfully leveraging our client’s strong brand in a retail setting.
