Katy Bartlett

Director of Creative Services, Executive Creative Director

Growing up with a camera in hand, it’s no surprise that Katy found her way to a career in visual storytelling. Katy serves as our Director of Creative Services/Executive Creative Director drawing on experiences from her 20+ year career to craft compelling and creative content for our clients.

Throughout her career, Katy has gained valuable experience as an NBC News Producer, PR Account Executive, Copywriter, and Director of Video Services for Stone Ward’s in-house production group, 360 Filmworks. Today she champions both 360 Filmworks and Stone Ward’s creative teams to never settle for less than our best when it comes to building brand loyalty and winning brand fans.

Over the years, Katy and her team have been recognized for creativity, technical excellence, and storytelling effectiveness by the national Telly Awards and others.  She likes to refer to her team of creatives, directors, shooters, animators, and editors as a Swiss Army Knife – capable of doing it all, whether that’s through impromptu resourcefulness or bringing in outside experts for additional perspective. Coordination and creative problem-solving come naturally to Katy, a skill set that’s necessary for delivering stunning results.

When she’s not in the office, on set, or jotting down notes whenever creativity strikes (she would say creativity can’t be scheduled, and we would agree), she’s volunteering or in the stands taking on her other role as her daughter's number one fan. Katy has spent countless hours coaching and mentoring young female athletes and one of her favorite things to do is watch her daughter in action on the volleyball and basketball courts as well as the softball field.

Very few people know:

I played just about any sport you can think of growing up and I was an all conference softball player in high school

My last meal:

Steak and Crab Legs

One thing I’ve learned:

Don’t sweat the small stuff, pick your battles, and what’s done is done… sometimes you have to make mistakes to do it right the next time around.

My favorite thing at amusement parks:

The games, people watching and the food

My first car:

1987 Bronco II with 187,000 miles on it… I only had that for a few months and then I upgraded to a Jeep Wrangler. I miss riding with the top down.

My first beer:

I don’t know, but I don’t like beer

My favorite web site:

Google

Best advice I ever got:

You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar…my grandmother has always said this and I’ve found it to be true in most situations. My granddad always says, “Keep up Production”, that’s pretty good advice too.

The people I’d invite to my dream dinner:

All my family members including grandparents I never really got to meet, Mickey Mantle so my dad could meet him, Mary from the Bible, and just about any country singer so we would have some good entertainment.
