Building Good for Kids & Family

January 4, 2010:

IMG_3291Stone Ward designer Emily Choate felt her father’s pediatric clinic waiting room needed an interior design make-over and Emily had time on her hands with Stone Ward offices being closed for a week-long holiday break.  So Emily talked to her dad and got his approval for her to design a mural of brightly-colored animals, certain to bring smiles and lessen the anxiety of young children waiting to see their doctor at The Pediatric Clinic.

Emily drafted Stone Ward colleague Chris Kindrick, an art director, to illustrate the jungle animals on the walls.  Emily and others who she recruited, including former Stone Ward intern Rachel Stirling, finished it off. The entire project was done in less than two days. The photographs below and on  our Facebook page tell  the story.  It was a labor of love for all involved, particularly Emily, whose father has always supported his daughter’s professional goals.  And the walls are already drawing rave reviews from children and parents alike who now walk into a cheerful waiting room environment.
It is yet another example of “Building Good,” a Stone Ward philosophy that lives and breathes both inside and outside the agency walls.
