LITTLE ROCK, AR (Aug. 11, 2009) — Stone Ward won a record 20 national Telly Awards for broadcast production work for six clients. All work was produced in-house by Stone Ward’s broadcast division, 360 Filmworks.
Of the 20 Tellys, twelve were for films produced for the Arkansas Attorney General’s office and placed in schools throughout Arkansas. The films help students understand criminal laws and the consequences for violating them.
The National Telly Awards is one of advertising industry’s most sought-after awards. The awards program, which began in 1978, attracts entries from large international advertising firms to local production companies and advertising agencies.
In addition to the Arkansas Attorney General’s office, other Stone Ward clients who won Tellys were Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Baptist Health, Terminix and Snap-On.
Tommy Walker is Stone Ward Director of Broadcast Production and manages 360 Filmworks which has been in existence for only two years.
“We are pleased to receive such an extraordinarily large number of Tellys. This is a great testimony to the excellent work we’re able to produce inside our agency, a compliment to our clients who provide the opportunity and a salute, too, to the state of Arkansas where good broadcast production is done,” Walker said.
Walker is no stranger to awards. In 2002 he was named one of the Top 100 Producers in America by Producer Magazine, the industry’s top ranked trade publication. Walker has been with Stone Ward for nine years and prior to that he worked in film and video production in Tennessee and oversaw all production. Early in his career he worked as a camera technician on such movies as “The Firm,” “The Client,” “A Time to Kill,” and “The People vs. Larry Flynt.”
Walker is a graduate of Arkansas State University where he was an all conference football player for three years.
Stone Ward observes its 25th anniversary this year. Co-founders of the agency are CEO/Executive Creative Director Larry Stone and President Millie Ward. It has offices in downtown Little Rock and Chicago.
